Meet the team
Hub Counsellors Helen, Fenella and soon to be joining us Elizabeth

Helen B
Hi, I'm Helen.
I've always been fascinated by people — why we do what we do, how our experiences shape us, and how patterns that once helped us survive can sometimes hold us back later in life.
As a counsellor, I offer a warm and genuine space where we can explore whatever has brought you to counselling. I work relationally and draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to the individual rather than believing one approach fits everyone.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, loss, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I aim to help you better understand yourself, your experiences, and the choices available to you.
Alongside my counselling training, I have spent over 20 years supporting people through complex life challenges. This experience has reinforced my belief that people are often far stronger and more resilient than they realise — sometimes we just need a guide.
I am currently working from the Hub on Fridays during the daytime, between 10am and 2pm

Fenella
My name is Fenella. I am a CPCAB‑accredited Level 4 trainee counsellor (TC‑L4), currently in my second year of training at the University of Winchester.
I offer a safe, calm, and welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. I am warm, genuine, patient, and compassionate.
How I Work I work using a pluralistic approach, which means I tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs and goals. I draw on person‑centred therapy to offer empathy and understanding, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to explore patterns of thinking and behaviour, and psychodynamic approaches to gently consider how past experiences and relationships may be influencing your life today.
Areas of Interest I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing ADHD and ADD, anxiety, depression, OCD, intrusive thoughts, stress, women’s issues, SEN parenting challenges, and relationship difficulties.
My aim is to offer a confidential, non‑judgemental, and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain greater understanding of yourself, and work towards positive change.
I work face to face from the Hub on Wednesday evenings, and I am also available at weekends and throughout the week for online and telephone sessions
